On July 1, 2025, a delegation from the ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon visited the College of Business to deepen cooperation in business education and international collaboration. The delegation was led by Professor Maria João Cortinhal, Dean of ISCTE Business School, and Professor Renato Pereira, Associate Dean for Internationalization and Research. They were formally received by Dean Chi-Jui Huang, Dr. Chun-Yu Lin, Director for AACSB and International Relations, and Professor Wei-Lun Chang, Co-Principal Investigator of the Humanity-Social Sciences and Industrial Innovation Linkage Program.
Earlier this year, the College and ISCTE signed a cooperation agreement, marking ISCTE as the College’s second official partner institution in Portugal.
Recognized as one of Portugal’s leading public research universities, ISCTE ranked in the 601–800 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025. In the Scimago Institutions Rankings, ISCTE placed 12th nationwide in 2022, with top-three positions in fields such as management, psychology, sociology, and political science. Its business school stands out on the international stage, climbing to 44th in the Financial Times European Business School Rankings 2023, positioning it among Portugal’s top four business schools in teaching quality, research performance, and global reach.
This visit marked a key step in reinforcing academic partnership efforts. Both institutions will continue to explore student mobility, joint research initiatives, and new forms of academic exchange, including collaborative seminars and faculty engagement, to strengthen cross-border academic collaboration in the years to come.
